Week of August 4, 2015:

Johnny Donovan Behind The WABC Mic!

This photo was taken immediately behind the studio engineer.
You can see what the WABC control console looked like and how the DJ and the board op faced each other.

Unlike most radio station studios of the era, the DJ and the engineer were not in separate rooms separated by a window.
The concept was to make them work as a team and (hopefully) develop a rhythm.

Note the "Music Note" sticker to the right.
(Familiar?)

You can also make out a sticker on Johnny's shirt pocket.
It is the bumper sticker version of the WABC $25,000 Button.

Week of August 18, 2015:

"The Other Dan Ingram Show" was carried once a week on Saturday nights on WABC-FM.
Program Director Rick Sklar was experimenting with some of the WABC-AM personalities on the FM station.
Bob Lewis and Chuck Leonard also did shows on WABC-FM at this time.
