Roby Yonge officially started at WABC on January 1, 1968.
It was also on that date that WABC eliminated much of the ABC Network required programming that hampered the station's "Most Music" image.

From the trivia department:
Roby actually started on WABC in December 1967 because of a snow storm that prevented Charlie Greer from making it to the station. 
Since Roby was staying in New York City, he was available to fill in for Charlie.

Don Imus

Don Imus was not a music DJ at WABC and that's the era this web site is dedicated to.
He did finish out his career on the air at WABC as a talk show host from 2008 to 2018.

While Imus was not a music DJ on WABC, he was on competitor WNBC.
This coming weekend Rewound Radio will feature "Imus In The Morning" from WNBC!
