This survey would have been on the air for only a couple of days, until WABC began playing all Christmas music, up until midnight Christmas Day. The list of Christmas records here is not all-inclusive, as more holiday songs were added as Christmas drew nearer. (The above list actually represents songs that were more prominently featured during the days just prior to Christmas.) From 26 December until after New Year's Day, WABC exclusively aired the first of their year-end special Top 100 hits of the year. The album cuts on this week's survey are from the newly released U.S. album, "Beatles '65" (those with the Capitol records label designation) or from the concurrently released U.K. album, "Beatles For Sale" (with the Parlophone label). Many, but not all, of the cuts were shared by both albums. WABC noted that "Beatles '65" was #30 on the album chart. They were also announcing "The Beatles Story" interview album as #5, "A Hard Day's Night" as #12, and "Something New" as #15. They did not explain how they arrived at those numbers, or the source of the chart(s).
